How refunds are handled for subscriptions and AI usage services

This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available for PaperInsight subscriptions and paid features. By purchasing our services, you agree to this policy.

General Policy

  • Payments are generally non-refundable once service access is granted, except where required by applicable law.
  • Refund eligibility depends on plan type, billing cycle, account usage, and the reason for the request.
  • We may deny refund requests involving abuse, policy violations, or repeated refund attempts.

Subscription Refund Eligibility

You may be eligible for a refund for a first-time subscription purchase if all conditions below are met:

  • The request is submitted within 7 calendar days of the initial purchase.
  • The account has limited usage and has not consumed a substantial amount of paid resources.
  • There is no evidence of abuse, fraud, or policy violations.

Unless required by law, subscription renewals (monthly or yearly) are not automatically refundable.

Non-Refundable Items

The following are typically non-refundable:

  • Used or partially used usage-based credits
  • Add-on services already delivered
  • Promotional, discounted, or special campaign purchases (unless explicitly stated otherwise)
  • Accounts suspended or terminated for violations of our Terms of Service

Duplicate Charges and Billing Errors

If you were charged more than once for the same order, or charged incorrectly due to a billing error, contact us and we will investigate. Verified duplicate or erroneous charges are eligible for a full refund.

Service Outages or Technical Failures

If a severe platform issue prevents normal service use for a meaningful period and our team cannot provide a reasonable fix, you may be eligible for a partial or full refund, or service credits, depending on the impact.

How to Request a Refund

Send your request to support@paperinsights.io and include:

  • Account email
  • Order or invoice ID
  • Purchase date
  • Reason for the refund request
  • Any relevant screenshots or error details

We usually review requests within 5 business days.

Refund Method and Timing

  • Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method whenever possible.
  • Processing time depends on your payment provider and bank, usually 5-10 business days after approval.
  • Currency exchange differences and third-party banking fees are not refundable.

Chargebacks

Before initiating a chargeback, please contact us so we can help resolve the issue quickly. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account suspension.

Regional Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country or region.
